Free model APIs, verified on each provider's own pages. Sign up free, add the key securely, chat on a free model in seconds.
Not BBAIS's own APIs (the Universal API, read APIs or any future BBAIS API): these are third-party APIs you sign up for.
The card and plain language, together
Ask in any words (“help me deploy a model”, “add my own weights”, “help with Instant API”, “what is BYOM”). BLK-AI explains the steps in words and the card under its reply does the work in the chat. Use the card or keep typing; both work at every step.
What you type drives the open card
With a Deploy card open, say “I want openai-community/gpt2” (or just “open ai community gpt2”), “use Modal”, “call it Mac Helper”, “context 8192” or “deploy it”: the same card updates (the model is looked up on Hugging Face and its license comes up first) and BLK-AI tells you the next step. The license tick is always yours: “deploy it” presses Deploy only after you tick it. With the BYOM Instant API card open, name the free API and model (“Groq allam-2-7b”, “use llama-3.3-70b-versatile”): the card opens that API's encrypted key field and ticks that model once your key lists it. A free API's model is a model API you connect, never an open-weight model to deploy.
BLK-AI knows where you are
Every message tells BLK-AI what your cards and the BYOM window are showing right now and your step in them: the model and its license, the cloud, the free API you picked with its free terms, the free models your key lists and which you ticked, whether a key was added (never the key itself), the plan, deploying, live, any error; plus your deployments and connected models. It answers from exactly that.
Cards stay
A card stays open while you keep talking, and it comes back after a reload, after reopening the app, and on your phone, tablet or computer. Only a newer card of the same kind folds an older one to a line you can open again.
Connect from chat
“Connect my Groq key”, “use my Ollama model”, “connect DeepSeek from Hugging Face”: the Connect card, with its encrypted key field (or your server's address) right in the chat. The chat switches to the model once it connects.
Deploy from chat
“Deploy Qwen/Qwen3-8B to Modal”: the Deploy card, license first, then your saved cloud key or the encrypted key field, the plan (GPU, context, spin time), Deploy, then its live state and Use model.
Free model from chat
“I want a free model”: the verified free APIs, each with Sign up free and its own encrypted key field. Name one (“I want the Groq free API”, “Groq allam-2-7b”) and a card for exactly that API comes up with its key field open and your model ticked once your key lists it. It stays until the key is added, and then shows Your key is saved, with Rotate key and Delete key, and lists the rest of that key's models (the ones already connected marked) to tick and connect with the saved key: nothing to paste again. The BYOM window's Instant API and Connect tabs do the same.
Free, paid or open weights: which card
One provider, one key: a provider such as Groq has a free tier, paid use of the same key, and open-weight models it hosts. “Groq free API” (or naming a model with the Instant API card open) gives BYOM Instant API, which lists only the free models. “Connect my Groq key”, “paid”, “all its models” or “I upgraded” gives Connect, which lists every model your key can use, free or paid (your provider bills paid use). The open-weight models a provider hosts (Llama, Qwen, allam, OpenAI's gpt-oss on Groq) are used through its API with your key; nothing is deployed. Deploying open weights yourself is the other path: “deploy Llama 3.3 to Modal” downloads them from Hugging Face to your own cloud.
Change it from chat
“Rename my Qwen deployment to Mac Helper”, “set the spin time to 2 minutes”, “use 2 GPUs”, “stop it”, “show its logs”, “make it my default”: the exact change with Apply.
Vibrations from chat
“Help me set up a vibration”: the Set up vibration card in the reply; type what to watch, pick the schedule and depth, Confirm.
Keys never in chat
Keys go only in an encrypted field. A key typed into chat isn't sent; one that gets through is removed before it's saved or read, and BLK-AI reminds you to rotate it (up to 6 times) until you say it's done or add a new key. Your keys are saved encrypted, and you can rotate or delete any of them at any time: in the card (Rotate key, Delete key), by asking (“rotate my Groq key”, “delete my Groq key”: every model on that key at once), in Your Models, and Your cloud keys for deploys. A key you saved is used again everywhere: adding more models from the same provider (in a chat card or the BYOM window: free APIs, API providers, Hugging Face, cloud platforms) shows “Your key is saved” and never asks for it again; “Use a different key” is there when you want one.
