The plans, prices, storage and what counts as one BLK-AI interaction are shown live below and on the pricing chart. Unused interactions don't roll over. When a month's interactions are used, BLK-AI pauses until your next billing period or an upgrade; everything else keeps working.

Uploading

• Drag files or a folder anywhere in BLKCloud, or use Upload. A folder keeps its folders.
• Files go straight from your browser to storage, encrypted. Keep the page open until they finish; if the connection drops, choose the same file again and it carries on where it stopped.
• Paid plans take files up to 50 GB; Free takes files up to 1 GB.
• If a file with the same name is already there, choose to keep both or to save it as a new version.

Someone you share with by link doesn't need an account. Members you share with see it in Shared with me. Only you, the owner, can share, delete forever or change who has access.

BLKFiles (shared with BLK-AI: Communicate)

BLKFiles is its own space in BLKCloud: the same documents and audio as BLKFiles in BLK-AI: Communicate (add one in either and it's in both). It has its own storage, separate from My Cloud: your Communicate plan's storage, or 1 GB free if you don't have a Communicate plan. With both plans you have all of it: My Cloud, Photos & videos, BLKFiles and BLKVault. Documents you upload to My Cloud are also saved to BLKFiles unless you switch that off in Storage.

Convert files

Convert any document or picture to another format in seconds: Word, PDF, Markdown, HTML, plain text, CSV, Excel, JPEG, PNG and WebP (HEIC photos too). Every PDF is made accessible to the PDF/UA-1 standard and checked by BBAIS's validator, and you see the result. Download the new file, or save it straight to My Cloud, Photos & videos or BLKVault.

Any file you already keep can also be downloaded in another format from its menu or its preview (Download as…), or saved as a converted copy beside the original. Files up to 20 MB convert at once. Pictures convert between JPEG, PNG and WebP, or into a PDF.

File requests

• Create a request from any of your folders: a title, instructions and an optional deadline.
• Send its link to anyone. They upload without an account, with their name on the file.
• Uploads count against your storage, and you're told each time. Close the request when you're done.

Versions, Trash and Restore your BLKCloud

Nothing is deleted unless you delete it. Deleted files stay in Trash for 30 days, then are deleted permanently. Earlier versions of a file are kept for 180 days (up to 100 versions). Cancelling, downgrading or filling your storage never deletes anything: uploads just wait until there's room.

• Open a file's details to see its versions; open or restore any of them (restoring saves it as the newest).
• Restore a file or folder from Trash to where it was.
• Restore your BLKCloud: choose a moment in the last 30 days. BLKCloud shows what will change (files back from Trash, earlier versions, renames and moves undone, newer files moved to Trash) before anything happens.

Encryption and privacy

Every file is encrypted with its own key (AES-256) before it leaves your device, and travels straight to storage over an encrypted connection. Those keys are themselves encrypted with a key kept only in BBAIS's protected environment. BBAIS can open a file only to do what you ask (BLK-AI on your files, sharing it), to keep BLKCloud safe, or to answer a valid legal request. For files nobody else can ever open, use the BLKVault.

Names and folders are kept in BBAIS's database so you can search and sort them; in the BLKVault, names are encrypted too.

The BLKVault

The BLKVault is a private area where files are encrypted in your browser with a passphrase only you know. BBAIS can't open them, BLK-AI can't read them, and the BLKVault locks itself after 20 minutes. If you lose the passphrase, those files can't be recovered by anyone.

• Set a passphrase (at least 12 characters). It never leaves your browser.
• Unlock the BLKVault to add or open files. It locks itself after 20 minutes, or when you lock it.
• BLKVault files can't be shared, copied out or used with BLK-AI.

BLKPass: passwords, two-factor codes and secrets

BLKPass keeps your passwords, two-factor codes, payment cards, identities and private notes encrypted in your browser with your BLKVault passphrase: BBAIS can't read them, not even an item's name. Generate strong passwords and passphrases, see live two-factor codes, get a password health report and a known-breach check, import from your browser or another password manager, and send one secret by a self-destructing link. Included in every plan, Free too.

• Open BLKPass from the BLKCloud menu and unlock it with your BLKVault passphrase (set one the first time). One passphrase, one 20-minute session: unlocking BLKPass unlocks the BLKVault too.
• Add logins (username, password, websites, two-factor key), payment cards, identities and private notes. Mark favorites and use folders; search finds any of them.
• Generator: random passwords (8 to 64 characters, choose the character types) or passphrases of random words, made with your browser's secure random generator, with the strength shown in bits.
• Two-factor codes: paste the setup key or otpauth:// link a site shows when you turn on two-factor sign-in. BLKPass shows the 6-digit code and how many seconds it has left (TOTP, the standard authenticator apps use).
• Password health: weak, reused and year-old passwords, and logins with no two-factor key, worked out in your browser. The known-breach check sends only the first 5 characters of each password's SHA-1 hash to the public Pwned Passwords list; the password never leaves your browser.
• Changing a password keeps the last 10 in the item's password history.
• Import a CSV export from Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox or another password manager; every item is encrypted before upload. Export everything as a CSV (not encrypted; delete it after use).
• Secret links: send one password or note to anyone. It's encrypted with a one-time key that's only in the link's # part; choose 1 hour to 7 days and 1 to 10 opens.
• Deleted items stay in Recently deleted for 30 days. Up to 5,000 items. BLK-AI never touches BLKPass, and a lost passphrase can't be recovered by anyone.

Malware scanning and alerts

Files up to 100 MB are checked for malware after upload. A file with malware is held: it can't be opened, shared or copied, and you're told. Larger files, and files the check hasn't reached yet, show a note saying they haven't been checked.

If many of your files are renamed, overwritten or moved to Trash within minutes, you get an alert with a one-click restore to just before it started.

BLK-AI on your files

• Review a file: A summary, the key points, anything that looks wrong or risky, and the dates, amounts and names in it.
• Summarize a folder: What a folder holds, its themes and the files that matter.
• Ask BLK-AI: Ask questions about chosen files or a folder, as a conversation, with the files it used as sources.
• Organize a folder: BLK-AI proposes folders and where each file goes. You untick anything, apply, and can undo in one click.
• Smart names: Clear, descriptive names for up to 50 files at once, for you to review and apply.
• Smart search: Search in plain words ("my lease from last year") across names and what's inside your documents.
• Rewrite or edit a Word document: Tell BLK-AI what to change. It edits the document paragraph by paragraph, keeps the formatting, and saves a new version, with the original one click away.
• Draft a document: A new Word document from your description, optionally built from files you choose.
• Translate a document: A translated copy, formatting kept, saved beside the original.
• Compare two documents: What changed between two versions of a contract, policy or paper, in plain words.
• Extract to a spreadsheet: Tables, invoices, receipts and statements turned into an Excel or CSV file.
• Describe an image and read its text: A description for anyone who can't see it, and the text in a photo or scan.
• Clean-up review: Likely copies, old large files and things you may not need, as suggestions only.

BLK-AI never deletes anything. Moves and renames happen only after you approve them, and can be undone. Rewrites and translations are saved as a new version or a new file. BLKVault files and files with malware are never sent to BLK-AI. BLK-AI isn't included in the Free plan.

Storage

• Storage counts your files, their earlier versions and what's in Trash. Previews don't count.
• See what's used, and by what, in Storage. You're told at 80%, 95% and when it's full.
• When it's full, uploads wait until there's room or you upgrade. Nothing is ever deleted.

Reporting a link, copyright and child safety

• Anyone can report a share link from its page. BBAIS reviews every report.
• Copyright owners can send a notice; BBAIS turns off access and tells the person who shared it, who can send a counter-notice.
• BBAIS reports apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, as federal law requires, and preserves it for a year. BBAIS doesn't scan your files' contents for this; it acts on reports.

How BLKCloud compares with other cloud storage

Changing or cancelling your plan

Change plan or cancel online at any time from Plan & Billing, the same way you signed up: one screen shows the date it takes effect, any fee from a discounted term, and what happens to your files. When a plan ends your account continues on Free; anything above Free's storage stays readable, downloadable and exportable, and nothing is deleted.
